The African American Pulpit

The African American Pulpit is the only African American owned and operated, non-denominational preaching journal in America! Ecumenical in outlook and theologically diverse, each issue focuses on topics that are relevant to today's African American preacher. Mechanical Specifications

  • All rates are for black-and-white ads
  • Camera-ready ads are required
  • Electronic files MUST be a high resolution, 300 DPI, grayscale file in one of the following formats: TIF, PDF, JPEG or EPS.

Changes After Ads Submitted
Please thoroughly review your ad (especially if it contains phone numbers) before submitting it. There is an additional $100.00 charge for changes. .

Creation of Material by Hope for Life International, Inc.

Hope for Life International, Inc. can and will create whole or half page print ad for companies, organizations and churches. The prices for creation of ads are: Whole page $350 and half page $200. These prices only apply when entities submit their own graphics and copy. If an advertiser does not supply graphics or copy, they will be billed according to prices established on a case-by-case basis. Charges for creating new ads are in addition to all other charges provided above.

Removal of Print ads

Ads can only be removed up to five (5) business days after submittal of the order form. Notice of removal must be in writing to Advertising Billing, The African American Pulpit, 1825 Riverdale Road, Germantown, TN 38138. No exceptions.

Ads Printed In Issues and Provided to Advertisers

Once an issue is printed, Hope for Life International, Inc. will provide each advertiser one copy of the issue in which their ad was placed. Only a copy of an issue will be provided as evidence of the publication of an ad. Full payment must be made before an issue can be provided.

Payment Terms

Ads must be paid within 30 days of submittal of an order form. Full payment is required with first order except for orders for four consecutive issues. If a vendor purchases ads to run in four consecutive issues, half payment for the order is required within 30 days of submittal of order form and remaining payment is due within 60 days after that date. Accounts with unpaid balances 30 days past due, will be billed two percent (2.5%) of the unpaid balance per month. Accounts 60 days past due will be required to submit full payment for all future orders within 15 business days after they place an order. Hope for Life International, Inc. will separately bill advertisers for production charges due to non-camera-ready material or changes made after receipt of advertisements by Hope for Life International, Inc. staff.

The publisher reserves the right to change rates without advance notice. The publisher reserves the right to place the word "advertisement" with copy that, in the publisher's opinion, resembles editorial matter or for any other reason. Hope for Life International, Inc. reserves the right to reject any advertisement at any time.

Indemnification

In consideration of publication of an advertisement, the advertiser and agency will indemnify and hold harmless Hope for Life International, Inc. and The African American Pulpit, its officers, agents, and employees against expenses (including legal fees) and losses resulting from publication of the content of an advertisement, including without limitation, claims or suits for libel, violation of right or privacy, copyright infringement, or plagiarism.
